Welcome pug lovers
Who Are We?
We are a group of pug lovers who get together (at least) once a month for pugs and parents to socialize.
How long have you been meeting?
We have been on meetup Since Jan 2008, and have grown to a nice size group. Many of our pugs (and parents) have really gotten to know each other and look forward to our monthly meetups. We seem to average around 20 pugs (give or take 5) at most meetups, although it varies widely. There are a few members who have their roots going back to 2004, before we were on meetup. Not too many of the "old timers" left.
Where do you meet?
We currently meet at the A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter in Naperville on the 3rd Saturday each month for an hour or so of off-leash, indoor, playtime. Some months are at special locations or have special events.
Warning to pug parents!
Part of the goal of our Meetups is to send your pug home tired, with his tongue hanging out and ready to spend the rest of the day passed at out on the couch, snoring like a lumberjack, with a smile on their face. We are a group of folks dedicated to the health, fitness and social well-being of our curly-tailed children and their breed.
What does it cost?
Joining our group is free! We ask for a $5.00 donation when we meet at ADOPT (per family) and donate it to the pet shelter for the meeting space.
What else?
You don't have to have a pug - just have to love 'em. It's a great way to get your pug fix! We have lots of knowledgeable members, and lots of folks involved in pug rescue and fostering who can share their experiences with you.
